5 ATTRACTING & ADDRESSING AUDIENCES

How did you attract/address your audience?

In order to attract our audience, we used the same methods that a professional distribution company would create: 


FACEBOOK: I have created and taken charge of the Facebook page.

Facebook is a wonderful social media tool as it attacks and addresses 'big groups' of audiences due to millions using the application everyday, sometimes with obsessive use.

Film distributors now use Facebook to interact with their audiences by offering photos, tickets, information about shoots and a host of other interactive material linking all the social medias associated with the film. This makes a synergistic whole.

Our group is inspired by pages created on Facebook by distributors, who advertise their films such as the following, 'Deadpool'. This is a very useful page to look at as it displays its' verification on Facebook; It also shows that it is properly designed specifically to promote certain things on the film.


INSTAGRAM: Roberts has created and taken charge of the Instagram account.

Instagram is a very popular but excessively used online application especially by youth and advertising pages such as clothing, merchandise, games, music, FILMS and many more.
This is also a very useful social media platform as it not only consists of sharing, liking, tagging and hash-tagging of photos/videos, but also a incredible way of advertising and promoting certain things - in this case, accounts are produced to engage many people to promote their new films coming out, as well as merchandise, sales and many others.



TWITTER: GB has created and taken charge of the Twitter account.

Twitter is a big influence for promoting as it is one of the largest social media platforms due to how popular and easy it is to use. As many people know, it is famous for 'hashtags' or tags in general as well as showing the world things people want to be seen, i.e. Films.

My group can use this to the best of it's ability as it will have a huge impact on distributing our low budget, film opening.


WEBSITE PAGE: Alastair has created and taken charge of the Web page.

A website page is very useful tool as many people can access it easily and engage with information about the film.

As our film is low budget and not distributed by well known distributors, it wouldn't reach a wide audience although we are aiming to reach as many people as possible with our target audience in mind.
